INTO THE WOODS: Winter Ice-Skating Party

I love these gorgeous photos of this incredibly creative ice-skating party! It really inspires me to think of fun ways to spend time with friends + family during the chilly winter months!

FOODIE: Artistic Cookies

I am loving these fun artistic cookies!  I've been thinking about throwing an art party where a bunch of artsy girlfriends come over and we break out some canvas or water color paper and create masterpieces (or new art for the frig) and these cookies would be so much fun as the dessert!

DESIGN: Silly Buddy Handmade Collars

Eames + Orla definitely have Silly Buddy collars on their puppy-wish-list!  So many beautiful designs to pick from - how can you not love a little hipster pup!?

FOODIE + DESIGN: Eating Local

I love living in the Seattle area - practically everyone makes a conscious effort to shop and eat locally.  I am digging this gorgeous hand-drawn map by Drywell of Seattle neighborhoods that promotes eating local!

And speaking of local... if you live in Seattle, you have to check out Local 360.  It is an amazing restaurant that focuses on procuring their food within a 360 mile radius of Seattle... so awesome AND delicious!!

FASHION: TOMS Vegan Wrap Boots

How can you not love these amazing vegan wrap boots by TOMS!? I am going to have to try on a pair tomorrow! They look incredibly comfortable ... I'm already thinking that they would look super cute with skinny jeans, plaid button down and a black vegan "leather" moto jacket.  Love them!

PHOTOGRAPHY: Antique Glass Bottles

Gorgeous photo of antique glass bottles by Leaping Gazelle.

FASHION: Mad About Madewell

I am loving the simplicity of Madewell's Spring Collection as I've been addicted to stripes and slouchy belts lately.

DESIGN: It's What I Like About You (CB2)

Clockwise: Stool, $129;  Pillow, $39.95; Vase, $49.95; Credenza, $899

I am still loving the gray, yellow and white color pallet for my living room so it is no surprise that I was happy to see these lovely things from CB2's Spring 2011 line up!

DESIGN: Yulia Brodskaya

One of my favorite paper illustrators is Yulia Brodskaya - they way she curls and bends paper is simply incredible!  I love how she incorporates Typography into her work so it is not just about the image but it is about the wording as well.  Beautiful!!

DESIGN: Truth is Beautiful

I love this print and I don't even like beer!

IN MY KITCHEN: Butter

There is nothing more heavenly than homemade butter on toast!  If you haven't made butter since your 4th grade science class, then I highly recommend that you check out Jam It, Pickle It, Cure It: And Other Cooking Projects by Karen Solomon - it is so tasty!

DESIGN: Paper Hammer

I love walking downtown Seattle and finding a new shop that is full of amazing design / crafts / art / books... and Paper Hammer is no disappointment!

DESIGN: Water Paper Paint

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE art books and my favorite new book is all about watercolors! I have dabbled a bit in watercolors in the past as my mom is an amazing watercolor artist but I have to admit that I haven't experienced with it the way Heather Smith Jones has! She is the author of "Water Paper Paint: Exploring Creativity with Watercolor and Mixed Media."   I recommend that you pick up your own copy here
